Skarn the Frostfallen

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Skarn stands at a towering 6'10", his broad frame undermined by a gaunt appearance caused by his body suffering under the strain of his unnatural spiritual connections. His pale, almost translucent, skin is marred by frost-like veins that trace his arms and face. Wild, white hair flows freely, adorned with all sorts of beads and bones, most taken from slain foes. He has blue eyes so bright they appear to be faintly glowing. Clad in heavy furs and ceremonial garb stitched with intricate designes representing the spirits they have enslaved, they are surrounded by an aura of cold so intense that frost gathers wherever they step.

Personal history

Born into a nomadic Fahryte tribe, the Shaman known as Skarn of the Icewind Clan grew up under the tutelage of his father, the previous clan shaman. When the Cetandari Empire waged the War of the White Jaw, Skarn’s father worked alongside the chieftain of the Icewinds to lead their tribe into battle to defend their homeland. The war ended disastrously for the Fahrytes, with Skarn’s father killed by Cetandari forces.   As a child, Skarn bore witness to the devastation wrought upon their people and the desecration of their ancestral lands. Consumed by grief, he turned to the spirits for solace, but his unrelenting hatred for the Cets corrupted their communion, attracting the worst of the spirits of the Unions. Over decades, Skarn pursued forbidden rituals, enslaving spirits to fuel his vendetta against the Cetandari Empire and those who aligned with it.   Skarn has become a figure of legend, both feared and reviled by Fahrytes and Cetandari alike. Commanding an army of enslaved spirits, he spreads despair among the tribes and ruthlessly targets anyone aiding the Cetandari. Though he sees himself as the savior of the Fahryte people, his methods have transformed him into a monstrous outcast.
