Kidan, also known as the Great Ki or the Path of Harmony is a little-known faith outside of monastic sects, though has had rising popularity in
Lungao and has begun to compete against the
Celestial Bureaucracy. A meditative and inward focused faith, Kidan offers a path to enlightenment and oneness with the universe through balance of the inward life and spiritual forces known as Ki.
| Ki | Energy | Attribute | Color |
| Jing | Life | Strength, Constitution | Red |
| Chi | Spirit | Wisdom, Charisma | Yellow |
| Shen | Mental | Intelligence, Dexterity | Black |
A majority of monasteries, especially in Lungao, adhere to some form of Kidan, even if they worship true divinities alongside this practice.
Historically Kidan, along with
Waidan, was part of alchemical philosophy. While Waidan focuses more on shaping the elements of nature, Kidan looks inward, shaping the forces that make up a person. Practitioners of this philosophy work to balance their inner thoughts and work to improve themselves through arduous training and mental discipline.
The Kidan faith has no unified structure or official leaders, but individual people may look to traveling monks, mystics, or the heads of monasteries as spiritual examples. In Lungao, these heads are called Pahang, though this term differs in different regions.
