Deathmarch

One creature you touch must make a Wisdom Saving Throw, beginning to suffer from extreme insomnia on a failure, which will lead to madness or even death. The creature gains no benefits from taking a Long Rest, and the creature cannot willingly fall asleep. In addition to any normal levels of Exhaustion gained from not sleeping, the creature gains 1 level of Exhaustion every 72 hours that pass.   Supernatural effects that induce unconsciousness for a period of 1 hour or more will reduce the creature's Exhaustion by one level but will not end the power. Likewise, supernatural effects that remove Exhaustion will do so but will not prevent the creature from taking new levels.   After seven days, and at the end of each day after that, the creature must make a Wisdom Saving Throw. On a failure, the creature suffers from short-term madness, which will strike at some point during that day as determined by the DM.   If the creature fails three saving throws against this madness, which need not be consecutive, it instead suffers from long-term madness; the creature will not need to attempt another saving throw until this madness ends. All failed saving throws after this point result in long-term madness. If, after beginning to suffer from long-term madness, the creature fails three more saving throws, then it will develop permanent madness. A Remove Curse or Heal spell will end this power in addition to any normal means of removing psionic influence.
