Boiling Blight

5th Edition
You inflict a magical blight upon a creature you can see. The target must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failure, they take 2d6 acid damage and begin to secrete burning fluid from their skin. For the duration, the creature takes 1d6 acid damage at the end of each of its turns for 1 minute (Save ends at end of turn). If a creature passes the initial saving throw, they take half damage and do not take damage at the end of each of their turns.   At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a higher level spell slot, the initial damage and ongoing damage both increase by 1d6 for every two slot levels above its base level.

Somatic Components

You raise one hand skyward, fingers splayed wide, as if calling down a curse from above. Then, with a slow twisting motion, you clench your hand into a claw and draw it downward in a spiral, as though coiling heat into the air. As you finish the motion, you thrust your palm toward the target, fingers curled slightly, mimicking the motion of acid dripping from your fingertips.
