Blighter

A Blighter is not merely a druid disconnected from nature—they are a blight upon it. Whether shunned by their circle or corrupted by power, these druids no longer nurture life but steal vitality to fuel their twisted magic. Wherever they walk, trees blacken, flowers wilt, and once-verdant lands crumble to rot and ash. Ironically, even these fallen druids must seek living wilderness to destroy it, drawing their magical strength from the very life they ruin. They are loathed by other druids, reviled as anathema by the natural world itself.

Circle Spells

2nd-Level Druid (Blighter) Feature   Your corrupted link to nature grants you blighting magic. You always have the following spells prepared, and they don't count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If a spell does not appear on the Druid spell list, it is nonetheless a Druid spell for you.

Deforestation

2nd-Level Druid (Blighter) Feature   You gain a dark rite that replaces your bond with nature. You may perform a 10-minute ritual in a natural environment, withering all non-magical plant life in a 30-foot radius. Trees rot, grass turns to ash, and flowers blacken. For the next 24 hours, you are considered to be empowered. While empowered in this way, you gain the following benefits:
  • When you cast a spell that deals fire, necrotic, or negative energy damage, you can add your Wisdom modifier to the damage dealt to one target of that spell.
  • Difficult terrain you create through Druid spells cannot be ignored by nonmagical means as it grips and clings to all creatures.
  • Once per turn when a creature within 30 feet of you dies, you can use your reaction to regain hit points equal to your Druid level. You may use this reaction a number of times equal to your Druid Power Reservoir, regaining all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Wither and Burn

6th-Level Druid (Blighter) Feature   When you deal fire, necrotic, or negative energy damage to a creature with a druid spell, you may force it to make a Constitution saving throw against your Spell Save DC. On a failure, its speed is halved, and it cannot regain hit points until the end of your next turn.   You may use this feature a number of times equal to our Druid Power Reservoir, regaining all expended uses when you finish a short or long rest.

Undead Wildshape

10th-Level Druid (Blighter) Feature   You can expend a use of Wild Shape to transform into a skeletal for of a creature that you can normally wild shape into.   While transformed in this way, your natural weapons deal an additional 1d6 negative energy damage. This damage cannot heal Undead creatures.

Blighted Mastery

14th-Level Druid (Blighter) Feature   You no longer require a deforestation ritual to be empowered, and instead you are permanently empowered. As a bonus action, you can begin blighting the area around you in a 10-foot radius, killing plant life in the area as described in the Deforestation feature. Additionally, when you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with a Druid spell that deals fire, necrotic, or negative energy, you may use a reaction to gain one of the following options of your choice:
  • You regain one use of Wither and Burn.
  • You regain one expended divine spell slot of 3rd-level or lower.
  • If the creature is CR 3 or lower, it rises immediately as a zombie under your control for 1 minute.
You can use this reaction a number of times equal to your Druid Power Reservoir, regaining all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
