Auronidus's Galvanic Binding

“Control is not tyranny—it is the refinement of chaos.”
— Auronidus, The Golden Son
5th Edition
You conjure arcing copper chains that lash out toward up to two creatures you can see within range. Each creature must make a Dexterity Saving Throw, being Restrained on a failure as the chains wrap and tighten, crackling with electricity. Any creature that starts its turn Restrained by the chains takes 3d8 Lightning damage, or 4d8 Lightning damage if the target is wearing metal armor or is made of metal. As an Action on your turn, you can release one target from the chains, sending them after another creature you can see within 30 feet of you and the old target. The new target must make a Dexterity Saving Throw, being Restrained on a failure.   At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a higher level spell slot, increase the damage by 1d8 for each slot level above its base level.
