Guild Report - SL - Trouble With Tweedletoads {Bec - 13/02}
GuildMast Ranger Gaar lead an expedition to Infinity Island with a party made up of fellow Ranger Renreall, Cleric Vespera and the Paladin Light Bringer.
After a short boat journey from Guildmast to Infinity Island.
Gaar took the party deep into the Jungle.
They found the first lot of Tweedletoads and made quick work of capturing them.
While searching for more they disturbed a mother Displacer Beast who was not happy they were near her den.
After some tense moments the party saw her three young kittens and left the area. Travelling deeper and deeper into the forest they collected more and more Tweedletoads.
Both Rangers managed to get poisoned from the Tweedletoads but lucky Light Bringer was able to heal them both.
As they approached a clearing at the edge of the forest they saw a bright colourful magical rift with Tweedletoads continuing to come out of it.
The sharp sensed Ranger Renreall noticed one Tweedletoad that didnt look like the others.
Using speak with Animals he waa able to communicate with this toad who was wearing a mushroom hat.
The toad explained that it was not a toad but a wizard called Woodwink who was working on a spell to make the Tweedletoads not Posionious as a gift for his love (Cozysocks) and it backfired creating the rift, turning him into a toad and causing the Tweedletoads to replicate and pour into the material plane. Woodwink explained the components used were a partial love spell so he needs to be kissed by someone pure of heart in order to be restored to his true form and re-enter the rift to close it. Light Bringer stepped up showed his angelic wings and planted a big kiss on the toad. A magical display of light and magic swirled around them revealing a male pixie wizard. The party worked together using their specific talents to return the remaining Tweedletoads into the rift. Woodwink went back into the rift and closed it as promised. But not before leaving behind a thank you gift/apology. Four small sacks of Pixie Dust. As the party went back through the thick forest they encountered the male Displacer Beast who was hunting some left over Tweedletoads. In a panic the Cleric Vespera tried to banish the creature only to fail and coming very close to meeting his own death before thinking better of it. The party cleared the forest of the remaining Tweedletoads and headed back to Guildmast. They were sent to see the Captain for a $100 gold reward.
