Guild Report - SL - Boblin’s Goblin Robbin
General Summary
Following the Mystic Moonbeam Mingle the Town of Ironridge gained enough trust in the Guild to begin opening lines of trade and conversation, unfortunately those lines were swiftly cut as the Various Trade caravans shipping the goods to the coast began suffering from raiders. A goblin tribe had moved into the area from up north.
The Copperstones contacted the guild on behalf of the town and hired the services of a small party to help deal with the threat, offering not only 100 gold each but also salvage rights on anything they find if they can stop the raids. Before leaving Ironridge the party stopped in at the local Blacksmith, a Surly Dwarven man who sold them new armour and weapons for a modest fee.
The party then headed towards the Mine which the Copperstones indicated was the most likely hideout for the Goblins. As they travelled they stumbled across a small group of Goblins standing around an injured unconscious figure. After fighting the goblins into submission the Party healed the injured woman, a young goblin who introduced herself as Boblina. With Boblina as their guide the party made it to the Mines and fought their way through, avoiding many traps and killing a bunch of goblins and even a troll. At one point they fed a goblin to a Nothic in exchange for free passage past it’s bridge.
Very quickly the party managed to breach the second floor of the mines where a goblin ambushed them using a necklace of fireball. The creature was swiftly vanquished and looted but not before it’s compatriots revealed a small tunnel to bypass a bugbear ambush. Finally the party reached the main goblin camp where a young Goblin warrior named “Juliq” stood guard over their pregnant/non-combatant Women and children. The party with Boblina’s help managed to convince them to flee the camp, with Boblina showing ulterior motives but it allowed the party to salvage the goblin’s treasure rooms.
Inside the rooms they found a decent amount of gold, raw ore, various trade goods and even a fancy magic dagger. The real benefit though was a crate containing 200 gold worth of assorted gemstones, which the party decided to bring back to the guild for it’s clerics to use. The party then made their way to a secondary camp they passed earlier, one that the Shaman of the tribe supposedly used. Upon climbing down to the third level they found the Shaman tending to many wounded and dead Goblins. Upon questioning “Suliqez” the Shaman told them that something further in was corrupting her people into undead and handed them a rare oil that would imbue their weapons temporarily with radiant damage.
After fighting through a number of Zombie Goblins they made their way to a glowing green barrier, one that collapsed upon being touched by a living creature (the party’s druid). A ghostly woman then appeared, warning them of a fierce undead lurking beyond and asking them to turn back. beyond the barrier lay a centuries old church, long decayed into ruin.
The party refused, plugging their ears upon learning of its screams and fought the “Allip” to death. The Allip tried to unplug the ears of the party but they proved more than capable of avoiding its claws. Finally the creature fell to the Party and burned away in ethereal flames, dropping a strange heart made from purple crystal when it did. Upon touching the heart the Party was subject to a strange vision, Attached is a transcription of the vision. The heart then became a non-magical Amethyst carving. The party returned to the Copperstones and gained their payment. Boglina parted ways, choosing to lead the remnants of her people, promising no more raids.
The Bard also sold his magic Axe to the village Blacksmith.
A moonlit square, deserted and silent. A haunting wind whispers through abandoned alleyways. Suddenly, ethereal figures emerge- sinister demons with eyes aflame in crimson. In their clutches, they grasp the town's children, innocent faces etched with fear. The creatures move with unnatural swiftness, vanishing into a portal oozing darkness. The portal, a gateway to realms unknown, pulsates with malevolent energy. A distant echo of anguished cries follows, chilling the very essence of the town. The undead creature's voice echoes, narrating the vision: "Witness the theft of innocence, as shadows claim the young. The path to salvation lies in the echoes of the past, where the roots of this malevolence have taken hold."
