Du'Malth Cloudbourne
Du'Malth was a champion of Nathrael in ages past, but his allegiance was stolen by Auxum, the Smiling Devil. He currently works as a champion of both as the goals of the Dark Pantheon align once more. His race is human, but he appears more drow-like, with dusty blue skin and long, pointed white eyebrows that reach like a bug's antennae far out to either side of his head. He is bald. He usually dresses in simple brown farmers garb. He is about 5-foot 11-inches and slight of waist, but very broad of shoulder.
Du'Malth's class is Warlock/sorcerer. He is cautious, and prefers to summon devils, demons and aberrations to do his fighting while he vanishes to reappear later. Like Whisper, he is a master illusionist and enchanter, and frequently appears in the guise of others. Unlike Whisper, he isn't prone to casual grandstanding and prefers to make a clean getaway rather than let everyone know 'I was here'. Du'Malth's voice has a gutteral tone, and an odd ongoing stutter that causes him to pause on a rolling r, an ey, or a hissing s at odd words in his sentences. He has been seen in Stoneshaft Hold, addressing the blighted dwarven armies there. He was spotted in Tokmor, trying to thwart Whisper's plan to use the thinning of the veil to target the Sunbloods and void Miko's contract with Auxum. He was seen in Eal, trying to kill Whisper's daughter, Vella Bregan. As a divine champion he is functionally immortal.
Update - Year 16 After Guildfall
Malth Cloudborne was the crown prince of the Unseelie Court, favored son of the Cloud Queen, known in Elanora as the Winter Queen. He grew resentful of his mother's authority, and over 1000 years before Guildfall, he secretly swore allegiance to the Sin Writer. In service to Nathrael he created many cruel devices, such as the Malth Key, which would allow a mortal mind to communicate with Nathrael himself (usually shattering the mind in the process). About 700 years ago, betrothed to one of his mother's spies and facing the exposure of his ancient crimes, he took the opportunity to run away with a still young half-satyr Daphne 'Skips' Skiphoof and hid in the western Hartlands of Faerun.
His early time with Daphne was strangely tranquil, as the lovers bonded over a shared desire to cause mischief, and Skips would channel that desire to achieve noble outcomes, proving that even then Du'Malth retained a capacity for goodness. But his greed would be his undoing. As he pursued more extreme means to fund their chaotic lifestyle, under the pretense of redistributing wealth from rich to poor more efficiently, even Skips couldn't deny her lover had become morally insane. When Nathrael refused to help him corrupt Skips, insisting he kill her instead, Du'Malth reached out to Auxum. In exchange for Du'Malth developing the Soul Anchors that work as a failsafe in the Torturous Truth to prevent it from undergoing Celestial Realignment, Auxum would ensure Du'Malth would be the first fae to undergo transformation into a fiend, and Skips would be the second.
The intervention of the Little Warriors of the time saved Daphne Skiphoof before this transformation could take place, marking the first known time Auxum was unable to make good on his side of a contract and thus voided it. The second such time was his failure to save the people of Tokmor in what became known as 'aberration week' or the 'Cowpocolypse' during the War of the Seeds. Despite Auxum's failure to live up to his end of the bargain, Du'Malth continues to serve both Auxum and Nathrael willingly, even faithfully. He would retire somewhat with the arrival of William Bregan to the Little Warriors, as he forsaw the boy would play a key role in Nathrael's downfall, and resented it greatly when the Sin Writer instead tried to turn William into a servant. He returned shortly after Guildfall.
He prefers to serve Auxum's goals, but still reaches out to the Sin Writer when their objectives align. There is still a seed of regret in Du'Malth, which has a chance to appear if he should encounter Skips again and find her obviously hurt or endangered. Mostly, however, he alternates between appearing broken and helpless to resist the call of evil, and relishing the chance to unleash it.
