Lianbo Xue (LEE-ahn-boh SHWEH)
A Resident
Lianbo Xue (a.k.a. Ahn)
Known as Ahn among those closest to him, Lianbo has a way of speaking to the stars—not with words, but with posture, silence, and the occasional chuckle when something aligns just right. His observatory is little more than a woven mat, a polished bowl of water, and a rotating chart that he adjusts by the phase of breath, not moon.
He does not predict; he listens. For Lianbo, the stars are less about fate and more about feeling—the subtle impression they leave on the waking heart. He teaches others how to find their “nightself,” the part of them that shines when no one is watching. Sometimes, he’ll sketch a constellation and ask what it reminds you of. The answers, he insists, are always correct.
Lianbo is known for his evening gatherings, where guests sit in a circle of lanterns and share their dreams under open sky. He rarely offers answers, but his questions seem to unlock them gently. “The sky,” he says, “is not a map. It’s a mirror, stretched wide so we remember to look.”
