Kay (KAY)
A Resident
Sir Kay (a.k.a. Sir Kay of Caerleon)
Sir Kay, Arthur’s foster brother, was known for his sharp tongue as much as his sword. Though his barbed humor could wound, his loyalty to the king was beyond question, forged in a childhood shared beneath the same roof. As seneschal of Camelot, he bore the burden of courtly order and logistics with a diligence few appreciated until it was gone.
Kay fought at Camlann with the ferocity of one defending not just a kingdom, but the bond of blood and brotherhood. When the retreat came, he was among those gathered to Avalon, his armor battered but his gaze still defiant.
In Tír na nÓg, Kay embraced a quieter stewardship, managing the great feasts and gatherings of the isles with the same exacting care he had brought to Camelot’s halls. He became an unspoken anchor for many, ensuring that the camaraderie of the Round Table endured even without its seat of stone.
Despite his gruffness, he was known to slip coins to the needy and advice to the uncertain — both acts delivered without ceremony.
