To the Adharcruthach and wild Scáthfear, he is a teacher of renewal and balance, not through force, but through understanding. He guides those who walk with nature to see strength in change, in growth, in death and rebirth. Egil’s lessons are sung in birdsong and scrawled in moss across stone. He invites his kin not to dominate nature but to dance with it, shaping their spirits as vines wrap lovingly around a trellis. Though some tales call him fae trickster or cunning spirit, these are shadows cast by those who feared wildness they could not tame. The Adharcruthach know him instead as kin—a companion to change, a guardian of balance, and the laughter of the green returning.
