Dòmhnall Freystein (DOHV-nahl FRAY-stine)
A Resident
Dòmhnall Freystein (a.k.a. Dove)
Dòmhnall weaves not with urgency but with reverence. His tapestries stretch wide across tree trunks and garden gates—depicting stories in threads of dusk and copper. Unlike many weavers, he never repeats a pattern. Each is meant for a place, a time, a breath. He finds joy in texture, pulling in wool from cloudswept hills and bark-fiber from river valleys. When asked how he begins a piece, he shrugs and says, “I listen for the rhythm of the land.”
