Altjira (ALT-jeer-ah)

Oceanic Deity

Altjira

Altjira is the silent architect of the Dreaming, the ancestral dimension beyond time where the world was formed. He shaped the deserts, stretched the sky, and arranged the stars before stepping away from creation entirely. His withdrawal was not abandonment, but cosmic discipline—he left the Dreaming intact, complete, and self-sustaining. He does not answer prayers, because he already answered them in the patterns of rivers, rock, and sky.   Among the Kamilaroi and other Aboriginal peoples, Altjira is not worshipped with offerings but walked with in vision. He is law, memory, and silence. His story is felt in the order of ceremonial life and the untouched places of the land. He is the one who left the world humming with stories, then listened from beyond.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

A towering, dark-skinned figure cloaked in stars, his limbs are etched with the silhouettes of ancestral animals. His eyes are deep ochre, like desert dusk, and his feet never touch the ground. His humanoid form appears only to elders and dreamers.

Mental characteristics

Sexuality

Altjira exists beyond intimacy as humans know it. His presence is more a resonance than a relationship, drawn to those who move with reverence for the sacred order. For him, closeness is found not in touch, but in vision.
