The Vault of the Stars

The Vault of the Stars is known to be the most powerfully poetic work of art to ever have been written. The name is unique for a book, but apt given its contents. The only original copy of the full manuscript lies in the Athenaeum in the Elven capitol of Baerador. The book was written by an ancient philosopher and poet who went by the initials "A.A." No one knows the species of the poet, nor the gender, though context clues have been shown to lead many to believe that the author was a man. It is known also, from context, that the author was one of great power, insight, and intelligence. The Vault of the Stars holds not only beautiful prose and poetry, but also hand drawn sketches of things unseen on El'dor outside of the Vault of the Stars itself, leading many to believe that the author was a visitor from another world - perhaps even a Druid!   There are other works of art that are both famous and enjoyable, but none reach the level of the Vault of the Stars. No single piece of artistry brings together such knowledge, imagination, philosophy, and, well, art, as does this manuscript. The book itself is immensely heavy and has thousands of pages. By itself the Vault of the Stars is approximately the width of the hand of a large grown Human male from wrist to middle fingertip. As for the width and height of the book, were one to attempt to burn the thing in their home fireplace they would undoubtedly find the fireplace too small to hold it! Many have contemplated how such a book was able to be readily transported. Some fringe thinkers have concluded that the author must have been a magic user of some kind, otherwise the size of the Vault of the Stars would simply make it impossible to write or draw in comfortably.
