Sun'vir
The Sun'vir, or Envoy's Faith, is the holy book of the Sa'a El'tarsi (The Followers of the Dragon). The Sasi (followers collectively) believe it to be the very word of their creator god, whom they believe to be none other than the Dragon King himself, Niviras. It is the central document for both the religion itself and the governance of the immense human city Karthan. It should be noted that while "Sun'vir" is the title of this holy book, it is also the name of the state of being toward which all of the Sasi are said to be striving.
In truth, the book was written by the Niviras' Envoy out of boredom. The Envoy, whose true name is not known, was the one appointed by Niviras to imprison and guard the city Karthan, forcing humans to mine veingold for their sustenance. The Envoy grew extremely bored, though, and though he could survive away from Dragon Ark since he was a Dragonite and not a full Dragon, he wanted nothing more than to return to his homeland and hopefully be chosen to transition to full Dragon at the next Festival of the Flames. He presented the Sun'vir to Niviras, who was amused by the idea. Niviras granted the Envoy's request, but only on the condition that he would be able to make certain that humans could govern themselves yet not try to build up any military power. The Envoy did this successfully, giving humanity more freedoms and spreading this new, false religion.
And so humanity fell into self-perpetuated slavery.
