King - Humanity

King is the title granted to the human, male or female, appointed by the Nine (El'Eni). The King is the head of the military of Torandria, has the final say in all matters regarding the military, and has unlimited power in times of war. Outside of wartime the King sits at the head of the Nine. He or she is the ninth member of El'Eni and is responsible for settling disputes and breaking tie votes. The King holds this office until death or retirement and cannot be removed except by a unanimous vote from the other members of the Nine. The King also serves as a judge in the case of capital crimes, deciding the fate of any who are accused of several crimes including murder and treason among other things. The King does not have power to create or enforce laws and only gets involved when the other members of the Nine are at a stalemate, and only to break the tie in favor of one side.
