Episode 46

The morning after the intense Chuul attack on Watcher's Keep, Collective Action gather for breakfast where Sendai Argrim inquires about their plans. Curious about the pilgrimage they disrupted, the adventurers ask Sendai to scry on the Adonian procession. Through the crystal ball, they see the pilgrims still en route to Kureta City, though the mood is visibly subdued, with fewer joyful faces. Despite the avatar’s absence, the pilgrims seem to anticipate a significant event once they reach Adonia's church.   With breakfast concluded, Sendai obliges the group by teleporting them directly to Kureta City. Upon arrival, the majority of the party heads to the palace to brief Queen Irena. Concerned about the Adonians’ plans, the queen reveals that the avatar of Hostetta is also mobilizing a pilgrimage from Bounty to the capital. Grateful for their work, Irena grants the adventurers royal permission to enter Angeltaun if they choose to pursue that lead.   Afterward, the group splits up for various errands. Groban and Meepo commission dragon-scale items at the blacksmith’s, while Blair and Roan pay a visit to Adonia’s church, The Sisters of the Flowing Heart. They find it lavishly decorated for Adonia’s expected arrival, with the clergy unaware of the avatar’s true fate. Meanwhile, Barnabus reunites with Lyra Brightsong at The House of Rest, where he shares his script. The two agree to collaborate on a play, with Lyra adding new songs to the project.   Elsewhere, Celine visits a Magic shop, picking up antidotes and a Ring of Mind Shielding for Meepo. The party later regroups at the university’s Magic shop, where they meet Fiona and buy some healing potions before making their way to Madame X. Testing the resolve of Meepo's Mind Blank protection, Meepo manages to enter without discomfort, and the group meets Celestia. Initially nervous upon recognizing Meepo’s voice, Celestia cautions the party to leave quickly for their own safety but answers a few questions about Angeltaun, though nothing unusual comes to light.   Blair and Groban then make their way to The Eternal Keepers, hoping to locate Blair’s scythe. They wait their turn to speak with the avatar of Pulcra, discussing matters of life and death, but fail to spot the scythe. Blair questions Tahlia Stillbank, leader of the church, but she becomes annoyed with their inquiry, dismissing them.   The day ends with the party returning to The House of Rest, where they watch Lyra perform and discuss her theatrical plans with Barny. Some in the group remain skeptical of the bard’s motives, but the evening’s entertainment rounds out their day before they retire for the night, ready for the journey ahead.
