Fanrak
Qualifications
Normally, this position is hereditary, and so the next person to hold it is trained from adolescence. This position is never vacant, however, as either of the two top positions of the Ahknan army (either one of the rhabals) are each qualified to take on the position in absence of a hereditary holder. The jirakazi is responsible for training the fanrak to take over once they come of age.
Requirements
In order to hold the title of 'Fanrak,' one's immediate family member must be the rorak, and must have been trained to hold the position from a young age. In order to hold the rank of 'jirakazi,' one must have been a rhabal in the army for at least three years, or have fought personally in a battle in the past one year.
Appointment
The fanrak is appointed by the rorak, with approval from the coalition's council. The jirakazi is appointed in the same manner, however requires approval from both the rhabals, plus at least three vouchers of the top five ranks. There can only be one in control of the position, however, and so once a jirakazi is finished training a fanrak and the fanrak takes over in their birthright, the jirakazi steps down to become a military advisor, a Rhabal, or simply leave the army.
Responsibilities
The fanrak and/or the jirakazi is in charge of overseeing the entire military. They strategize during wartime, develop new technologies and weapons, and take control over military restructuring if needed. They also are second-in-command in the government, and so are prepared to take over the duties of the rorak if so required.
Benefits
The fanrak holds great political power, and is next in line to take over leadership of the country. They have no monetary benefits, but have great social prestige, being apart of the royal family. Jirakazi, it's equivalent, comes with much less prestige, as they are technically simply a stand-in for the fanrak.
Accoutrements & Equipment
There is no specific equipment required of the fanrak; they simply dress as a member of the royal family is expected to dress, with a simple shirt or jacket to cover the collar and hands, along with animal hide pants.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
The dismissal of a jirakazi is simple and comes along with the appointment of a new fanrak. The dismissal of a fanrak, however, has never occured in the history of the nation. It is considered impossible, however recent abuses of power are compelling the council to reconsider and examine the actions that are grounds for stripping a fanrak's authority. Thus far, the only requirement that are enough for the council or rorak to remove a fanrak is direct and intentional treason, which is ill-defined as is.
Cultural Significance
The cultural implications of having the top military commander in the secondary position of the government stems from the Mojocki values of strength and victory. Physical strength and a warrior's attitude results in a battle-ready culture, and portrays the nation in the light of one that is strong and fortified.

Equates to
There is not always a member of the royal family to inherit the title by birthright, and so the position has a non-hereditary equivalent. If the holder of the position comes from one of the top two military generals (one of the rhabals), then the title of the rank changes to jirakazi.
