SD Session 2: Plague Victims
General Summary
Month 11, Week 3, Year 941
The Following is a GHG newsletter written by the barmaid Ishtara
This fall's newsletter starts with some sad news, fresh-faced adventurers Philipe Rammeau and Tim Radarada died on a mission to the Treeleaf Union after an encounter with some zombies infected with the Violet Blight. It's clear that Cella Vivaldi's influence is no longer limited to the Northern Territories, so adventurers are encouraged to take all necessary precautions and travel in groups no smaller than four when undertaking any missions related to the monsters spawned by Cella's druidic magic. The contract Tim and Philipe undertook is now available for any interested adventuring groups, the halfing government in Ardin is paying 25GP per zombie head and an additional 500GP if the source of the blighted monsters can be eliminated.
In more positive news, congratulations are in order to the Bug Punchers' successful contract slaying the owlbear plaguing Estrival! This owlbear was a pretty nasty foe, from the sound of it the beast could snatch up prey in its giant talons and fly for hours on end.
There's been some complaints about the recent posting of a bounty contract by the Rakkan government for the apprehension of a smuggler helping arm Despero during the recent flare-up in hostilities. Adventurers are entitled to reject missions based on their beliefs and opinions, but as a neutral organization the GHG is obligated to accept missions from all nations and governments who would seek the help of our adventurers.
And finally, a very happy birthday to our goliath barbarian Trond! Rather than asking for any presents, Trond would like a marathon sparring match in the GHG HQ's training grounds to see if anybody can withstand his 'feats of unfathomable strength'.
