DW Sidequest 2: Dunwich Horrors
General Summary
3/1/897
- The week that Roland and Elan go to Dunwich
- They’re investigating Wilbur’s cultish activities
- Kells, Astrid’s bodyguard, recruits two new people to the Royal Knights Brigade specifically for the mission
- A fairy sorcerer named Esmeralda and a lizardfolk druid named Jar-of-Bugs??
- So long as they’re good in combat is all Roland thinks!
- Dunwich a small town, remote and isolated from rest of Hakon
- There are no temples to Erivo here
- Wilbur’s house is at the top of a mountain, it’s a bit of a hike
- A couple of interdimensional monsters swoop in, raise hell
- Wilbur is reluctant to have guests over, but Roland commands him to
- They find a Hound of Tindalos in the room, a spawn of Yog-Sothoth chained up in a side room
- Wilbur orders them to leave, but they think his ‘research’ is too fishy
- Jar-of-Bugs attacks when he realizes that Wilbur laid the traps that attacked the party on their way up the hill
- Elan joins in the fight after she decides that Wilbur betrayed her trust
- It’s not like she was the one who freed him or anything
- All it takes is a 'Levitate' spell from Esmeralda and some rope to capture him
- They find a small trail down the mountain away from the village
- Wilbur’s taken up to Oakengaard for detainment and interrogation
