Sunnywood

From the southeastern shores of Misty Lake all the way to the White River stretches the bright and pleasant Sunnywood. So named due to the trees being more spread out and lighter color green leaves that allow plenty of sunlight to drift through the canopy above and a stark contrast to the neighboring Forest of Bones where the trees are taller, darker and more coniferous. With most of the woods being north of the Runaway River, Goblin and Orc attacks are few and far between and only the very southern portions of the wood comes close to the @dead.   Sunnywood is the home of a good number of small villages that pled loyalty to the Dom of Raone as far east as Nosta and makes up most of the area called The Eastern Reach. Despite some of the towns in this region having been occupied for several generations, it is still considered the frontier of the Dom and goods are more difficult to obtain. There are also more disturbances felt from the Forest of Bones that will occaisionally venture south into Sunnywod over the darkness of night. When the moon goes dark is always an auspicious time to be out in the woods an deven locals don't dare to do so unless necessary.     Common Wildlife: Pheasants, rabbits, turkey, wild boar and kratons are easily found while hunting. More rare are the Red Kraton and Black Boar.   Dangerous creatures to watch out for are Nestlings and ground traps (weak areas of ground where Ground Hogs burrow close to the surface to create traps for prey).   Common Flora: A good number of healing herbs grow in various parts of the woods and are benficial to collect. Bruise moss, Bellshade flower, yellow root, Thatch mushroom, dandelion, Dawn flower, and Bluegrass can all be found with little effort. Truffles are abundant, but a bit more difficult to find. More rare are the Tangle moss, Bell Crown Mushroom and Snowbell flower.   Archer's Thicket grows in bushy patches and is perfect for making arrows.
