The Swamp 1

The gang, having trained and studied for the past few days, were ready to head out.   They met with Merle in the bathhouse to talk about the Cockatrice campaign before they left. Before they could do much though, Stormy took off her robe and everyone say her kraken tattoo on her hip. Nil also saw a small dark mark on the opposite hip and thought it a birthmark. Stormy didn't remember having a birthmark their and thinks it might be the blood-magic making a physical mark on her as she connects with it. They did eventually talk to Merle and he said he would see what he could do for them.   They said their goodbyes to the temple and to Haroon, Jasper, Maki, and their daughter. Maki also told the whole group that she was pregnant, and hoped to see them after the baby was born.     They departed Sorin and traveled for 3 days, making sure to take breaks. During the time, Auri asked Nil to look at his kitchen knives he got and Nil realized that it was made from adamantine. Then, in the afternoon of the 4th day, they found a young girl doing a ritual at the edge of the forest that led into the swamps.   The girl, Mófa, was a shaman that was tryin to make sure whatever was going on in the swamp didn't spread. She told the group about the weird going ons that have happen for over a decade. She also explained that the disappearance of one that lived in and protected the swamps, a ranger for all intents and purpose, seems to be the catalyst.   The group head to the nearby town only an hour or two away to find out more information. They split up with Nil and Damaia talking to some ladies at the Well about what was going on and how people have been leaving as hunting or even gathering things in the forest has become harder and harder till it was not an option anymore. Rasa and Stormy talked to the Apothecary, who didn't give them much info except that it might have something to do with the sickness that happened. Auri walked around and found a stone with a familiar engraving. He realized that he was back in the first town he woke up in years ago.   Auri then went to the apothecary and ask about his missing friend. After a short confrontation, they found that he was trying to find a way into an underground cave near the mountains. Once Ihei went into the small opening, she was never seen again. The only one who knew where this opening was and was aware of this was his brother, who died 3 years ago. When searching the brother's house, they didn't find any clues. They also learned that the only werid thing he knew that came from the swamp was Auri himself. Auri and Nil punched him, and Rasa cursed the man to laugh as they left.   They then entered the swamp. They parked the cart on the otherside of the empty half of the town so it wouldn't be messed with and so it didn't get messed up in the swamp. As they entered and walked deep into the still forest area of the swamp, they soon saw visions of people that couldn't be there. Stormy and Rasa saw Kamile while Nil and Damaia both saw their mentors. They each ran off after the visions while Auri couldn't figure out why his friends were all going in different directions. He decided to follow after Nil.   Stormy followed Rasa, hoping to stop him from chasing the image of Kamile. She did see another vision of a person she knew, but didn't go towards it. She finally snapped him out of it and then Rasa shot at Kamile. he heard something grunt in pain and then Kamile went around a corner and was gone. Stormy found a good path that she hopped her lead them back to the others. While walking Stormy realized they they were going in a circle and Rasa heard giggling from the tree and found two tiny fea hiding.   Meanwhile Auri lost Nil but found a cabin and had a bad flashback that he knew this place. He didn't go in.
