Norrathians worship a variety of deities. The culture is polytheistic and most Norrathians do not restrict themselves to a single deity, instead praying to whoever seems relevant for the particular situation. Many settlements have a Pantheon: a temple where statues of all the deities are arranged for worship. Some pantheons have a particular patron, a deity held in special esteem and placed in the centerpoint of the temple. Some Pantheons, contrary to their name, exclude certain deities based on cultural norms (most frequently Innoruuk). Some Norrathians, such as Templars and Clerics, dedicate themselves to serving a specific deity. This does not necessarily prevent them from participating in the worship and festivals of other deities, but it does mean that they must adhere to their patron deity's laws and ideals and that the enemies of their patron are theirs as well. Additionally, each deity has a dedicated temple somewhere in Norrath. Clerics of the deity can teleport people to the temple. In many cases the temples have fallen into disrepair and been abandoned (or worse corrupted).
