Ogre

Ogres are the smallest of the giants. Like all giants (except the Kromzek) they carry the Curse of Stupidity within them. They live mostly in small enclaves ruled autocratically by a warchief. Oggok, the largest ogre settlement, is the starting city for ogre players (Oggokian faction).   There is minimal sexual dimorphism between males and females. Both stand around ten feet in height and have a heavy, lumbering build. Their bulk gives them high stun resistance. They have very high strength and stamina but low agility, very low intelligence (which cannot be raised even through magical item bonuses), and low dexterity. The curse of stupidity prevents them from speaking in anything other than a pidgin form of whatever language they might know. They are also cognitively incapable of reading or writing.   Ogre players start only knowing Oggokian, a pidgin of Rallosian, the language of the Rallosian empire. Oggokian is mutually intelligible with other ogre and giant pidgins, as ogre minds lack the creativity to make linguistic innovations. The Kromzek language of the Storm Giants is moderately intelligible provided that simple sentences are used. Ogre players who learn another language are only able to speak it in a simplified, broken form.   Ogre tribes:   Oggokian (Oggok) Rakthokian (Faydwer) Reef Ogres (Ocean of Tears)   Ogre quests:   Bash dem: Reward: Learn the Slam ability which allows an ogre to lift an enemy and smash it against the ground leaving it prone and potentially stunned if it fails its stamina check.   Cursebreaker (epic): Reward: Curse of stupidity is lifted from the quest doing allowing the ogre to learn languages above the pidgin level, read and write, and increase their intelligence above the normal max for ogres. This also resets the ogre's level and skills to 1 as the ogre's new mind needs to relearn everything from the ground up.
