Lisella

Goddess of Good Fortune

In an eternal dance with her counterpart Ajun to undo the damage that the God of misfortune aims to inflict, Lisella, Goddess of Good Fortune, aims to bring as much happiness as she can to the inhabitants of Ehldaron with gestures both big and small.     Beliefs and purpose   Lisella’s beliefs are very simple. She simply wants to bring as much happiness as she can to the world, and she hopes to inspire others to do the same. Often she works with subtle and small gestures that can result in great things. By giving nudges in the right direction, she hopes to create a better world. A coin that rolls beneath a desk may end up right on top of a secret passageway. Tripping and falling in combat may end up saving the person’s life as he narrowly avoided an otherwise fatal blow. Or a strange character enters a tavern at night, drawing all the attention, allowing the underdog in an armwrestling competition to take advantage of the distraction to actually win. Occasionally however, Lisella is also known to create big wonders that have massive effects, like a massive rainstorm that appears when a town is on fire, and ends up saving said town, or an entire army that gets their directions confused and gets lost, avoiding a deadly ambush.   Of course, bringing good luck to everyone is impossible, especially since many people have conflicting interests. But Lisella will always try to find the best outcome for everyone. That is of course, if the persons mean well. Those who wish harm upon another person need not expect Lisella’s aid.   In addition to bringing luck and happiness wherever possible, Lisella and her followers despise Ajun above all other Gods, and they will do anything they can to stop the sadistic God of Misfortune.     Followers   While Lisella is rarely the main God of someone, she is one of the most popular and most commonly worshipped Gods in Ehldaron. Everyone wants good luck of course, and they pray to the Goddess of Good fortune in the hopes that things go their way. Most people have a “lucky item” such as a “lucky coin” that they use as a token of Lisella. The “double faced coin of Lisella” is also a common item that represents the Goddess of Good Fortune and can be used to pray to her.   The followers of Lisella will, just like her, do everything in their power to spread happiness as much as they can while minimizing any harm they encounter. They also actively hunt down anyone that does harm, especially followers of Ajun.
