Ellorseth
The Ellorseth are an elven ethnicity, who have made their home at least ten millenia ago in the plains just north of Alesia and have lived there ever since. However, unlike other elves, the Ellorseth live mostly secluded and are not in regular contact with other elves or other Echoran races. Part of their territory are The Fields of Fallahy, an impassable stretch of wartorn terrain, magically scarred by the fights between the patron deity of the plains against a mysterious wizard, who has shaped the plains to his will for undisclosed reasons. The Ellorseth, as loyal followers of this deity, are tasked with patrolling the borders of the plains and turning away travellers and adventurers. As such, they are not known to be very welcoming to outsiders, and most people trying to travel into the region take an automatic antagonistic stance towards the Ellorseth.
Ancestry and Characteristics
The Ellorseth share their ancestry with the High Elves Of Echora. Although, a bit shorter than the common High Elf, the Ellorseth are generally taller than humans and practically tower over any dwarf. They usually have very pronounced and sharp facial features.
Language
The Ellorseth speak and write an elvish dialect that has not changed in any significant way since the arrival of High Elves on Echora and differs much in tempo and rhythm for what elven language has evolved into. Their seclusion and focus on tradition have likely contributed to this. This makes them hard to understand even for other elves and almost impossible to communicate with for other races, if the Ellorseth does not speak any common language.
