Prince Oargev, the exiled
Cyran royal who governs the town of
New Cyre by the sufferance of King
Boranel, is planning a brazen act of secession, hoping to transform all of eastern
Breland into a new Cyran realm, sources say.
According to a group of adventurers recently employed by the prince in exile, Oargev sent them into the Mournland to recover weapons of war so that they could be wielded against the Brelish military during the secession. It is typical of the cyran appreciation to take overly much of a gift given with pure intentions, out of the goodness and openness of Brelish hearts, and then turn on their saviours when it suits them.
How will King Boranel respond to this treachery? The Brelish crown should not stand idly by whilst parasites from a fallen nation suck the lifeblood from this glorious nation, and then attempt to discard the drained husk! Would the other nations come to the defense of the displaced prince? They spent long enough scheming during the war, it should come as no surprise that they would put their support behind the pauper prince if it meant weakening the greatest nation on Khorvaire.
Prince Oargev's scheming represents a very real danger to us all. Should he continue down this path, it could result in all of eastern Breland being swathed in the same gray mist that consumed Cyre. It is commonly discussed that Cyran greed is one of the many likely reasons that the Sovereigns called this disaster on their heads, after all, was it not Mishann who sparked the fires of the Last War by refusing to give up the throne of Galifar?
