Hobgoblin

For more information on how the different goblinoids relate to each other, see Goblinoid.   Hobgoblins, called Ghaal'dar (Mighty people) in the language of Dhakaan, are the second largest subspecies of goblinoid. The ghaal'dar dominated Dhakaani society, and filled most of the leadership and administrative roles within the empire. They also made up most of the empire's military, and most of the daashor were ghaal'dar. The weapons and armour that the ghaal'dar smiths produced are still unmatched today.   Traditionally within the empire, only ghaal'dar could normally become daashor (artificers) or duur'kala (bards), both of which were important roles within Dhakaani society. Today, hobgoblins are less common than goblins outside of Darguun, but they can still be encountered all over Khorvaire. In particular, there are notable hobgoblin populations in Breland and Droaam.
