Pvt. Zigz

Zigz, seeking to climb the ranks of his criminal organization, sought to steal from one of the nation’s vaults in Korth. Zigz, the charismatic and cunning mastermind, had secured the assistance of an enigmatic figure known only as "The Whispering Shade." This shadowy informant claimed to have inside knowledge of the vault's defenses and had promised to guide the goblins through the treacherous path.   On the night of the heist, the city lay shrouded in darkness, and the goblins moved through the shadows like phantoms. Everything seemed to be going according to plan as Zigz and Zagz navigated the sewers, avoiding traps and eluding the city guards. As they reached the entrance to the vault, The Whispering Shade's voice echoed in their minds, guiding them through the arcane wards and traps. However, just as Zigz was about to lay his hands on the riches, the plan crumbled.   Unbeknownst to Zigz, Zagz had struck a deal of his own. Fearing the consequences of failure, he had secretly made an arrangement with the city guards to betray Zigz in exchange for a reduced sentence. The guards, armed with the knowledge of the heist's details, lay in wait within the vault. With a sudden flash of torchlight, the guards surrounded Zigz and Zagz, their weapons drawn. Zigz was caught off guard; his dreams of wealth and glory shattered in an instant. Betrayal hung thick in the air as Zagz, torn between guilt and self-preservation, reluctantly stepped away from Zigz.   During the trial Zagz testified against Zigz. Due to the insurmountable evidence against him, Zigz was given the choice of jail or immediately enlisting in the military and serving for an additional two years. He chose the latter. During training, Zigz, wreathing with hatred and a thirst for vengeance, was approached by a lich late one night while returning from field training. The lich presented an offer Zigz couldn’t refuse, a taste of power and means of exacting retribution to the one who betrayed him. The cost? Simply unending servitude as an undead once Zigz reaches the end of his natural life.
