The Dying Forest - formerly known as the Forest of Spirits- named for its slowly decaying trees, is situated in the eastern part of Cadalyn, northeast to Moorbrook and east of the Anmol si Thlem.History & Lore
The Dying Forest slowly started its decay about three years ago. Before that, it was a luscious forest, teeming with life. It is said that a druidic place of power can be found in the center of the forest, however, it supposedly has been twisted and cursed by a gruesome monster. And while there always have been headings that the forest will harm ill-intentioned travelers, it now seems to has turned downright vicious, often foregoing any differentiation of good and evil mindsets. Some settlements near the forest have since been abandoned.'Eerie cackles and vicious howls, twigs cracking like breaking bones. Contorted shapes with long, spindly fingers hushing through the trees and disturbing the mist of an early morning. You'd have to be mad to keep living next to a place like that!'
