Khanghan Hoeolibalam
The Vestige of Monsoon
The Khanghan Hoeolibalam or Great Whirlwind as it is directly translated is the Vestige of Monsoon. A vestige of power that embodies nature. Khanghan has been said to be part of Elder Elementals who embodied the Primordial Powers, but for Hibatans he is the Primordial Powers themselves. Khanghan is nature, he is the wind, the trees, the wildfires, the oceans even the dirt itself. He controls all, and yet he has no control. Despite Khanghans great powers, he himself has chosen to give freedom to that which he is under control. His strength is without equal, and a simple stomp from Khanghan should be able to create earthquakes strong enough to destroy entire cities. But he has chosen not to partake in any of this elsewhere bountiful kingdom. For Khanghan his duty on this earth is not to control nature but to be a custodian of it. He set an ideal in the Hibatan culture: "We cannot control, what we ourself are controlled by". Emotion is like nature, it is wild and has roots in the deepest of ourselves. We act on emotion because emotion controls us. Just like how storms act upon the wishings of nature. Nature controls the storms, the fires, the tornados, it controls everything down to the minuscule leaves that fall from trees and not the other way around. Khanghan saw this and put words to this, and through that many have seen him as a scholar more than a warrior-like force of nature.
Many have tried to pinpoint what Khanghan has taken the form of, however, it has proven hard. He does not carry the specifics of any known race, but some conclusions have been made. E.g. Khanghan with his height and size is some kind of giant, however which has not been concluded. We know for sure that he speaks common, Hibatan and Giant since he has spoken back to people who have communicated with him in set languages. However, he claims to know many more languages. He wears what seemingly is monk garbs, in a very minimalistic style. Only essentials are to be carried. On his upper body, there are many tattoos in different shapes and sizes, but they depict different parts and facets of nature usually. Khanghan in total encompasses the strength and forceful calmness that Hibatans strive to have.
