Rodinian Numerals
The number system used by the Creatures of Earth/Rodinians is base-12. This means that they count to twelve instead of ten before shifting the ‘decimal’ point to the right.
They have their own numerical glyphs to represent 10 and 11 as units, with 12 being their version of 10 where a new ‘dozen’ column is added to the left of the first digit analogous to how a “tens” column is added in the decimal system once you go above 9.
Using familiar human numerical glyphs for the moment, some examples of the differences between base-10 (on the left) and base-12 (on the right) are:
12 = 10
144 = 100
1728 = 1000
57 = 49
343 = 247
1000 = 6B4
In the last example, B is a placeholder for the Rodinian glyph representing 11, as in their system 11 is a unit as opposed to being a combination of one ten and one unit as it is in the decimal system.

A converter: https://www.unitconverters.net/numbers/base-10-to-base-12.htm The Rodinian glyphs used are below, along with their names and some examples of how they might be handwritten and how they might be stylised. Their numbers are closely related to their measure of time, which is in turn closely related to the Sun and the Moon. 0 (Lun) is named after Luna and is based on the concept of midnight, whereas 12 (Midsol), is named after the Sun and based on the concept of midday. 1, 2 and 3 represent the transition into deepening night with 1 having the Moon and one star (represented by the dot on the end of the line through the midsection), 2 having two stars and 3 featuring three stars. 4, 5 and 6 feature the arrival of day as the stars decrease in number above a rising sun. 7, 8 and 9 depict sunrise, whilst 10, 11 and 12 depict the sun approaching its zenith in the sky.
