Blood sacrifice

Cover Blood Magic by missingtheground on Deviant Art
A new report has surfaced. A Wizard calling himself Bishop utilizes blood as a source of his effects. This is tragic and disheartening because the source of power requires the lifeblood of others.   Here is what we know so far:

Blood Projectiles

As pictured above - these balls of energy laced with blood inflict damage and irritating poison that prevent other Wizards from concentrating. The target can still use stuns and items, but anything that requires concentration longer than 30 seconds fails. Mastery factors such as range, damage, irritant effect come with experience and blood type used.

Blood Demon

A creature is brought into this plane of existence through a pile of clotted blood. It feeds on living creatures and can act as a blood reservoir for a Wizard. If its blood requirements are not met on a daily basis, the Demon may break its control and turn on the caster.

Blood Construct

Use force fields, create weaponry, fabricate items. All dependent on the amount of blood used, imagination, concentration, and preparation of the caster.

Lifesteal

The caster can siphon blood from an open wound to replenish the health of the caster. Siphoning is not self-sustainable. The magic of blood required to use must be different than the target being affected. You cannot use the blood components of a target as a resource to heal yourself. degree of healing is dependent on type of blood, the amount and whether you want a healing burst or regeneration over time.

Scrying

Picture by Marcel Mercado An unclotted pool of blood can act as a sufficient medium for scrying magic. Blood type and quality determine effectiveness and range.

Teleport

History

Blood rituals and sacrifices have been part of human history for thousands of years. Humans are no strangers to the notion that blood has some connection to nature.   It is now known that this connection has a universal element. It is how some Wizards can draw power and perform extraordinary feats.

Execution

The Wizard Bishop manages to extract blood from a living creature and extracts the life energy from it. The energy in combination with mental willpower somehow produce a result.

Components and tools

Blood from a living creature is the preferred medium. If the blood is clotted or dry, the effects are weaker. Human blood gives the best results while animal or mutant blood are adequate for common feats.

Participants

The account of a blood ritual is disturbing. If Humans are participating in a ceremony that involves human sacrifice, the power or desired effect seems amplified.

Observance

Historical logs point to certain seasons and lunar cycles which seem to enhance or intensify the desired effect.

Blood Magic is a class of its own not seen before in the Thundarr adventures. However the latest encounter with the Wizard proves its role in the Earthend world.
