The Abomination

The Abomination is the name given to the first creature to leave the maelstrom. It was named by Silvanus as he was the first god to become aware of it. It emerged 100 years after the cataclysm, witnessed by the archwizard Magnus.   "I saw her leave the demarcation line. I thought it was a miracle, but I quickly realized it was not. She let out a scream, shifting form into a giant of a man, before leaping 50 feet and smashing a boulder. She than shifted back and sobbed, before racing across the field and killing a deer with her teeth. For as long as I observed her this erratic behavior was the only constant."   Magnus followed her for several years across the world observing her and learning. Eventually she wondered into a cave system where she fell asleep. Through means unknown Magnus was able to keep her asleep. He than founded a city to keep her contained.   For neatly 3,000 years she was kept asleep. A mining operation from the kingdom of Elgart woke her. In the ensuing chaos and fighting with the kingdom's forces she escaped into the astral sea. There has not been a recorded sighting of her since.   The Abomination usually looks like a young elf woman with unusual features. She is short, with dark skin somewhere between a wood elf and a drow. Her most striking feature is her hair, which has a prism like effect. Her hair always has a base color that shifts every minute. It also refracts any light creating a prismatic effect. Her eyes have the appearance of a prism, but do not change.   Her overall appearance is constantly changing making her look like any number of people. However, the base form is her only non human form. All others are always human.   While her physical abilities are more akin to that of the gods than mortals, her most devastating ability is magic absorption. This is an area effect around her. It reaches 50' in all directions and even passes through most objects. This area is absolute. Any magic in the area is absorbed by her, healing her. This cancels all forms of magic even magic items. Items are permanently rendered non-magical. If the item is held together by magic it is destroyed.
