Wolf Shark
Mazidontus lycan
Mazidontus lycan (Wolf Shark) is a 4 meter long pack hunter commonly found throughout the Vernean Cavern's oceans. The wolf sharks hunt near the surface in family packs of up to 8 individuals, working together to bring down anything from small whales to young mosasaurs. Like the mako shark, wolf sharks are warm-blooded, allowing them to hunt in colder waters other sharks and mosasaurs have trouble adapting to and allowing them to participate in long distance pursuits.
Pups are born live in coastal nurseries too shallow for larger predators to prey upon them. The pack will remain in the nursery until the pups are strong enough to keep up with them.
