Ollie's Serpent Whale
Serpenticetus ollieus
Ollie's Serpent Whale is a large Basilosauroid patrolling the coastal regions of the Thalassa Ocean, primarily in the warm seagrass meadows of the Vivid Sea between the Garden Continents. Too shallow for colossal predators like adult Thalassotyrannus and Megalodon, the serpent whales enjoy a relatively unchallenged dominion over these sea meadows, with only smaller mosasaurs such as young Thalassotyrannus posing a temporary threat.
Unlike more derived cetaceans, serpent whales are not social and nowhere near as intelligent but will still cooperate hunt the adolescent Thalassotyrannus that emerge from the Valhallan flood forests to eliminate the immediate competition they see as a threat. However serpent whales typically hunt the smaller serpent dolphins, Orthocones, and large fish. The typical hunting strategy of serpent whales is to hide below their selected target, using the seagrass as camouflage to stage an ambush before launching forward with surprising speed.
