Herald's Declaration

My name is Nuke.  I am an Acoloyte of Apocalypse, leader amongst the Heralds, and the architect of the assault on the Trident.   I, and those who stand with me, will no longer stand quietly aside while you use and abuse us and our gifts for your own benefit.  We are DONE participating in a society that fails to acknowledge our rightful place within it, and would seek to silence our voices and steal what is ours under the guise of rules and laws that WE had no part in writing.   The contract - the covenant - that binds society together, that allows for peaceable living amongst predators, has been broken.  BY YOU.  And we no longer seek to see it repaired.   By taking our homes, denying us the bounties of our gifts, and persecuting those who spoke out against you, YOU have brought this conflict into open war.   A war you are ill-prepared for, if you ever truly could be.   Our strike tonight, at the Trident, is a warning to ANYONE who would seek to force our hand by trying to claim ownership by paper what you can not enforce yourself;  We are DONE accepting your laws and your claims to keep the gears of society running.  No. More.   Our targets - the developers who would demolish our homes as an offering on the alter to the heavens - have paid the price of their arrogance.  The companies who support them - Genitech, Horizon, Apex - have also paid a price.  And those who support them - who stand next to them, dine with them, sleep with them, laugh and carouse with them, have suffered for those associations as well.  They thought they were untouchable, that their smiles and their rules and their mock civility would ward off the judgement that was due.   We have showed them the error of their ways.  And we will continue to do so; for each and every act of aggression against us, we will serve it back 5-fold.  take our food and we will burn your fields.  evict our families and we will bring your spires crumbling to the ground.  slay us in the streets and the gutters will flood with your blood.  Accept you place in this new world, and you will have it, unmolested and free from our retrbution   You have been warned - YOUR actions, from here on out, will dictate the vengeance you will see.   To those with TRUE power - the metahumans among the sheep - we have no war with you.  If you would stand with them, we hold no ill will towards you; it is your choice.  But if you would raise your hand in their defense - to deny the penalty of judgement that THEY rightfully deserve - then you have chosen to receive the same judgement as well.   To those PRETENDERS - who clad themselves in armor because their own flesh is too week, who carry weapons because their own body is feeble and useless, who claim laws and rights and deeds to things they could never create nor earn by their own efforts;  We no longer recognize your rights or claims.  You are absent from our society, just as you have made us absent in yours.  Pray to those among you that have true power for salvation, because you will not get it any other way.
