PERSONAL HISTORY
The early life and rise to criminal power by Elaine McLaughlin is undocumented. She was recruited to be Virgo in Taurus' (Cornelius Van Lunt) Zodiac crime cartel, in which each member would adopt the guise of a different sign of the zodiac, and control a territory in a different American city. Virgo controlled operations in Denver, Colorado. Members of Zodiac were equipped with state-of-the-art weaponry and their ultimate goal was global domination. However, their bids for power were most often foiled by the Marvels. Virgo was incarcerated after a failed campaign by Zodiac to kill all of the Geminis in Manhattan.
