Mutant: Artificial

Mutant, Artificial: The character’s powers spring from DNA manipulation—or a natural, inherent condition—that makes them appear to be a true mutant. They believe themselves to be a mutant, or they did for years. However, they were not born with an X-Gene.

Examples: Deadpool, Mister Sinister, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch.
