Morgan Neil
PERSONAL HISTORY
Determined to make the world a better place, Morgan J. Neil spent his childhood studying the art of journalism. As a mere high school student, he wriggled his way into a position as a junior reporter with the Daily Digest. Neil’s stellar reporting on civil rights issues, alongside his thrilling exposés on organized crime, rocketed him to the top of the paper’s line-up.
Eventually, Neil found the resources to buy the Daily Digest and install himself as the editor in chief. Practically overnight, Neil turned the Digest from a failing local rag into an internationally respected news organization.
More than anything, Neil is renowned for his editorial stance against costumed super heroes and vigilantes. As a man dedicated to the truth, he despises anyone whom he believes has something to hide. He has a particular sore spot for Shield Spider, who operates in the Digest’s direct vicinity.
Neil lost control of the Daily Digest and was forced to get a job as a regular reporter again. He even became mayor of New York City for a while. He has since returned to his first love: the news, and as editor of the Daily Digest.
Neil has a soft spot for his son, John Neil (A.K.A. Ape Man), whose heroics as an astronaut earned him worldwide recognition, but whose villainy in the group Bio-Hazards has brought him international infamy.
