PERSONAL HISTORY
Mary Dyer’s early life was, for the most part, unremarkable. She was born into a poor and religious family that placed a high value on decency and responsibility. As an adult, she began dating a young Engineer named George Dyer.
George claimed he was just as poor as Mary, if not more so, but he was kind and thoughtful. Mary valued that more than any riches in the world. Although she wanted a big family, Mary was only able to have the one child, George and Mary devoted all their energies toward loving and supporting their son, Sean.
Soon after Sean was born George's father George Senior died. Apparently George was the only successor to a billion dollar financial empire. Everything changed for the Dyers. They wanted for nothing, but Mary and Sean barely saw George anymore due to the huge weight of responsibility he now had to deal with. This estrangement only made it all the more difficult for Mary and child when, a few short years later, George was gunned down in a robbery.
George’s tragic death inspired Sean to become the world-renowned super hero Armoury. For many years Sean hid this fact from his mother, but Mary eventually discovered her son's secret identity. Although she was wary at first, Mary has come to accept who Sean is and even appreciate his heroics.
At one point, she married Morgan Neil’s father, Randolph, but he has since passed away.
