Maiden of the Tides

  Born as the youngest son in a family of twelve siblings, Snefagelli had to learn from a young age how to survive on the streets in southern Xa'a. Street urchins often have to grow up quickly, and Snefagelli was no exception. Snefagelli thrived by surrounding himself with more powerful figures, a talent that would safeguard him throughout his life. Making himself indispensable as eyes and ears, he quickly gained a reputation as one of the most skilled pickpockets and spies in his hometown. He did not have a talent however for selecting appropriate targets. At the age of 13 Snefagelli attempted to steal a magic ring from his older brother Snokel, one of his most prized possessions. When he was caught, a fight broke out between Snefagelli, Snokel and his other brother Al'bannis. In the confusion, Snefagelli accidentally mortally wounded his two older brothers, and fled in fear. When his father ultimately caught up with him alongside the guard, they allowed his father to enact any punishment he chose. Rivan chose to cut off three of his toes on his right foot, one for each son murdered by Snefagelli, and a third for the son he would lose this day. Exiling him from the family, Snefagelli found himself wandering and alone.
  Once again, Snefagelli's talent for surrounding himself with powerful figures would come to his aid. As he travelled to the south near the coastline of the Guardian Ocean he began to fall in with members of the then budding criminal organization known as The Fang. Snefagelli quickly became a trusted member of the gang, gaining the moniker "Two-Toes" for his deformation, which he convinced everyone he got in a fight with a minotaur guard. Snefagelli became a valued member of the organization over the next decade, and when at 24 the decision was made to extend their operations into the province of Yama Kor, Snefagelli was selected to be the first operative to move their drugs into the area. Set to meet up with a contact in Kaviskital, Snefagelli was captured by port authorities in the coastal city of Sahirawundi. Jailed for three years in Jian Yu Prison by Imperial authorities, he recently escaped after an attempt on his life, and is currently wanted by provincial authorities as an outlaw.

  The Fang- Also sometimes referred to by it's formal name, Fin Fang Foo, The Fang is a criminal organization operating primarily in the mainland of the Xa'a Empire. Flourishing under the corruption of the bureaucrats serving the absent-minded Emperor, The Fang primarily deals in illegal drugs and slaves. Led by the mysterious figure known as Ayame, The Fang is one of the most vicious and bloodthirsty criminal gangs in Xa'a. The Fang is known for being utterly ruthless with their enemies, and even worse with those who betray them. during operations, The Fang often wear a painted mask in order to stir fear in their enemies. They have only recently begun extending their operations into the province of Yama Kor and the Silver Coast.
