The Galleria Serica
A vaulted stone arcade near the port’s central square, roofed with colored glass that casts shifting mosaics of light onto polished marble floors. Fine wooden stalls and booths are arranged in neat rows, each adorned with banners or painted signs. Guards in polished cuirasses (hired by the merchants’ guild, not the city) patrol quietly to discourage thieves. The air smells of perfume, rare spices, and polished wood.
A hub for wealthy clientele, collectors, and agents of noble houses. Conversations are often conducted in whispers behind beaded curtains or within the private alcoves many stalls maintain.
