Magic Sword
Often made from meteorites, magic swords (or less frequently other weapons) harness the winds for powerful combat effects. There are a number of varieties, but a few common features. These weapons work by harnessing the winds, modifying the properties of the weapon. Often the winds used are exotic winds, leading to a glowing blade. There are a number of modified properties, these include
- dimensions/density
- impact force
- hardness/sharpness
- temperature Beyond these property modifications, these weapons can also have spells built into them, like any enchanted item.
Manufacturing process
First a meteor is found, and alloyed with normal steel to create the meteoric billet. The sword is then forged in traditional methods, with a few key exceptions. The main is that at all points in the process, in addition to the smith a wizard or enchanter joins in the work, annealing a symbol for the intended effect to the blade. This is a complex process, as the parts of the symbol are often built out of order, on the surface of each layer between folds of the metal. This means complex geometric calculations and precise forging are needed to ensure the symbol forms correctly at the end of the process. The final bits of the symbol, and the controls that allow the symbol to be activated, often appear as geometric designs on the final construction. Construction is also often done primarily at times where the star the meteor comes from is up, as this prevents the loss of winds, similar to consideration for decarburization.

Rarity
Magical swords are rare, owned only by elite warriors or nobility. They have become more common in the region around I Alma, and were historically more plentiful during the early elvish empire. Currently the vast majority can be found in the lands of the broken elves and city elves. The new men also enchant many items, but the technique and design of their magical weapons differ considerably from the traditional methods.

Raw materials & Components
Like any sword, the primary component is steel, with organic materials like wood and leather used to construct the grip, and other materials applied as decoration. With the magical weapons the steel is usually meteoric, and it is the winds drawn by this meteoric steel that powers the magical effects of the weapon.
