Demon's Horns

In the middle of the northern section of the north eastern continent, which is primarily occupied by thorn elves there are three high peaks which form an almost equilateral triangle, known as the Demon's Horns. This formation is very important to thorn elf culture, and is important to the image other groups have of thorn elves. It is easily visible from all places where a foreigner is likely to arrive in thorn elf lands, and invokes a sense of dread due to the reputation of these elves. For the thorn elves themselves it is part of their religion and coming of age rituals. Of particular importance is a small dessert valley nestled in the heights of the highest and most remote of these mountains. A pilgrimage to this valley is part of the thorn elf coming of age ceremony, and it is the holiest site in their religion. The priest who manages this site is the only thorn elf to exist outside their constant cycle of domination and is safe in his position,  except for contenders to his specific tittle.
