Shadows of Ealam
The Shadows of Ealam are ironically enough, one of the more understood parts of the Unifiers. Put simply, they are assassins of various shapes and sizes, differing in technique and skill levels. Unlike Ladies of Lanterns, Shadows have no unifying item or signature, preferring to get the job by any means necessary. Preferring an approach that is flexible, choosing the right assassin for the situation, the Shadows in particular have grown in numbers, influence, and power over the last half century. Whenever Shadows of Ealam are involved, you can be certain the Unifiers need something changed.
Some of the assassins in the Shadows of Ealam have reached infamy, detailed below. The Grey Ghost - A quick, clean traditional assassin. They appear to favor long, slender blades, a time of day around the rising of setting of the sun, and a penchant for assassinations in ordinary places, such as homes, alleyways or other isolated places. The stories say that they strike in a moment, and leave before the body hits the ground.
The Glamorade - A flashy assassin whose appearance changes with each "sighting". She apparently enjoys taking new assassins to observe her work, and as such, her assistants are constantly changing, making her even harder to track. She appears to prefer poisons, but has been known to slit a few thoats, especially around those who incur her wrath.
Echos - This assassin boasts a reputation almost as mysterious as the Grey Ghosts, yet with slightly less dramatic flair. An assassin accustomed to using their environment, crushing people beneath their homes, or causing Sky Drivers to go haywire, Echos is said to have a very solid grasp on the complexities of Magi-Mechanics, as well as skill with traditional mid-range weaponry such as shuriken, pistols and blades.
End All - The least known assassin at the "famous" level, only talked about in whispers. This assassin has shown themselves once, when a target managed to avoid the incoming rifle shot. That target learned that bullets are much harder to avoid 5 feet away.
