Arcane Magic

Arcane Spells are a class of spells that have no particular element and use the innate magic within individuals. Appearing as pure energy, arcane magic is the easiest, yet least efficient magic type. While the other elements leave some up for debate - most say that air is more efficient than fire magic for instance - Arcane energy is the easiest way to burn through your internal mana sources. This is the first type of magic taught in institutions of learning, and the easiest to build off of. With the exception of practical spells, this is also the most likely magic non-adventurers are able to use. Common spells include Magic Missiles, Arcane Shot and Energy Barrier.
  The inefficiency of Arcane Magics does not lessen the power or flexibilty of the magic, however. While many will focus on an Aspect or branch out to many, some are fine with the simple, brute power behind Arcane Magic. When it comes to fighting these fighters, it's often a poor idea to fight them head on...
