Magic

Magic. One of the most defining aspects of Eainor. It is far more complex than what folklore and media would have you believe. Magic is not simply a skill or talent; it is an understanding of how the world works. There is no one magic system, for magic is a gradient between endless philosophies and perspectives that intertwine around all that we know. In fact, magic is not far off from other understandings like the laws of science. Magic can be anything from summoning a storm to being an effective speaker. Everyone has magic within them, yet each person uses it in a different way. Some people are good at sports, some at smiling, some at drawing, some at comforting, some at talking, some at merely thinking. Each is a connection to their type of magic; a part of themselves that is balanced. The more balanced that part is, the more powerful it is as well. However, like any skill, technique can only get you so far, and you must practice to grow your talent. Magic is no different. To achieve great power, much of one's life must be devoted to magic.

Subworld of magic

Though "sub" denotes under, the subworld is more of a magical aspect of the mortal or scientific world that coincides with many things. I don't know, I feel like i'm not explaining it very well, but bear with me. So I had this weird train of thought where I was like, why do candle flames flicker so much? and then I remembered, duh, its wind. But what if wind is made of magic? Well it's actually made of particles but gas is made up of loose and unbound particles, so maybe the space in between is made of magic? That was kinda weird but I just needed to get my thoughts down and I'm tired. I think it sorta shows how in Eainor magic and science are not necessarily separate things and the lines between the two really blur, ya know?

Dreams

Dreams are very closely connected to magic. They are sort of like submerging yourself into the subworld of magic when you usually only standing or splashing around in it. They let you delve into the depths of yourself and the magic within you, and you can just forget about it later, or you can see what it's trying to tell you. In fact, psychology shows that dreams are where your brain plays out situations in your head that you are thinking about during the day.
