Floralia
Floralia is a festival hosted by the Circle of Blossoms in the The Emerald Willow thrown on the first day of Spring to celebrate the blossoming of flowers and life. Denizens from all accross Kalindon come partake in the Circle of Blossoms' festival to sing, dance, and partake in the Druid's Blessing. Floralia is known to be a peaceful event, where warring groups are not allowed to bring their conflict to. The purpose of this festival is to bring large amounts of living people to The Emerald Willow to strengthen its magic slowing the expansion of the rift between the Feywild and Material Plain.
History
Originally Floralia was a gathering of the Druids of the Circle of Blossoms to slow the expansion of the rift to the Feywild in The Emerald Willow located in the Western Waisent Woods. As the rift gets larger and larger, the creatures that can get in through the portal also get larger and larger. Over time the rift grew and more people were necessary to slow the expansion. So, in the eyes of the public Floralia was born.
Modern History
Floralia was started by the first Druids of the Circle of Blossoms to bring many living people together to The Emerald Willow to strengthen the tree's strength and to prevent dangerous creatures of the Feywild from crossing plains. Over the years it became more of a festival and a celebration then a ritual to strengthen magical forces. The Druids of the Circle of Blossoms have happily accepted the roll of hosting Floralia as a festival and have turned the ritual into a blessing of the people, to get more denizens eager to participate.Execution
The Preperation
Floralia requires much preparation, not in terms of food, but in terms of safety. Druids of the Circle of Blossoms begin preparing 10 days before the festival, calming the cruel plants and animals that have been affected by the rift to the Feywild.Food and drink is provided by the participants, in a potluck-like style. Particpants bring food from their culture made only with naturally grown ingredients, no meats. Animal produce, such as eggs and milk, is acceptable.
As for setup of chairs, tables, stands, and other miscilanious items that appear during festivals, citizens of Lavenham are left with that task. Being a lumber town, they have ready access to large amounts of wood. The tables and chairs are usually crudly carved logs made to easily be turned into boards again after the festival.
The Festival
The festival includes a lot of feasting, dancing, and conversing. Different groups bring their folk songs and foods with them to share with other nature-lovers.The Ritual
The Ritual is a where all participants link hands and surround The Emerald Willow. Depending on attendance, the amount of rings will increase or decrease, usually around 50 rings starting at 50 people and graudually increasing by 10. Druids of the Circle of Blossoms do not link hands, instead they are in the center of the circle, chanting only in Druidic (Gaelic) and performing magic while touching the tree. The Elder of the Circle of Blossoms is at the base of the rift, holding a Flar'Blum, which is consumed in the ritual.Moilligh an scoilt idir na saolta.

As the ritual is being performed, whisps of light connect each participant to the canopy of The Emerald Willow. This connection doesn't take anything from the participants, but it does empower the tree and help prevent the growth of the rift. However, over the years participants believe that they feel invigorated by the magic, when it simply was the energy of the festival.
